Yes. Smothering Tithe is on the official Wizards of the Coast Commander Game Changers list. Every opponent's draw either costs them two mana or hands you a Treasure.

Why is Smothering Tithe a Game Changer?

Smothering Tithe taxes every card every opponent draws — pay two, or give you a Treasure. Nobody pays for long, and the enchantment quietly converts the table's natural draw steps into a growing pile of ramp. After a wheel effect it produces double-digit Treasures at once, funding a turn nothing else in a fair deck could support. Like Rhystic Study, it is a three-or-four-mana enchantment that must be answered on sight and repeatedly slows play while the table decides whether to pay.

What bracket can I play Smothering Tithe in?

  • Bracket 1 & 2 — not allowed. A single copy of Smothering Tithe puts your deck above Core.
  • Bracket 3 (Upgraded) — allowed, and it counts as one of your three permitted Game Changers.
  • Bracket 4 & 5 — no limit, so it costs you nothing here.
