A bracket number tells you where a deck sits. It does not tell you whether your pod will enjoy playing against it, which upgrade is worth the money, or whether that combo is actually fine at a casual table. Those are conversations, so we made somewhere to have them.
It is small and new. Turning up and posting a decklist genuinely helps.

The bot uses the exact same analysis engine as edhcheck.com. It only reads the deck you pass to a command — nothing else.
Why analyse decks inside Discord
Most Commander pods organise themselves in a Discord server long before anyone shuffles. Someone posts a Moxfield link, someone else asks "what bracket is that?", and the conversation either stalls or turns into three people opening a browser to eyeball the list. The bot exists to collapse that into one command. The deck gets analysed where the discussion is already happening, everyone sees the same result at the same time, and the pregame conversation starts from a shared number instead of competing gut feelings.
That matters most for pick-up games between players who don't know each other's decks. Wizards' bracket system was designed to give those tables a shared vocabulary, but it only works if everyone can actually determine which bracket a deck falls into. Running /analyzeon four decklists takes under a minute and replaces the familiar "it's casual, I promise" negotiation with something checkable.
What the bot actually reports
Each response is a single card covering the deck's WotC bracket (1–5), its 1–10 power score, its color identity, and any infinite combos found in the list. Combo detection runs against Commander Spellbook's database, so it catches genuine two-card infinites rather than guessing from card names. The bracket figure uses the official Game Changers criteria, which means it reflects the same rules a judge or an event organiser would apply, not a homebrew scale.
The analysis engine is identical to the one behind edhcheck.com. A deck scored in Discord and the same deck pasted into the website return the same numbers — there is no separate, simplified "bot version" of the scoring. If you want the full breakdown (mana curve, cast rates, land analysis, per-card detail) the website shows all of it; the bot is the fast summary you can drop into a channel.
Supported inputs
The deck:argument accepts a Moxfield or Archidekt deck URL, or a plain-text decklist pasted directly in the standard one-card-per-line format ("1 Sol Ring"). Nothing needs configuring first — no account link, no API key, no per-server setup beyond adding the bot.
Permissions and privacy
The bot is installed with the minimum permission set it needs to reply to a slash command. It does not read channel history, it does not require message content access, and it does not store your server's conversations. The only thing it processes is the decklist explicitly passed to a command. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
FAQ
Is the Discord bot free?
Yes. Adding it and running deck analysis costs nothing, and there is no per-server limit or paywalled command. It uses the same free analysis that the website offers without an account.
Do I need an EDHcheck account to use it?
No. The bot works without anyone in the server signing up. An account is only relevant on the website, where it lets you save decks and revisit past analyses.
Can it read my server's messages?
No. It responds to its own slash commands and reads only the decklist or deck link you pass in the command's deck argument. It is not installed with message content access.
Does the bot give the same score as the website?
Yes — it calls the same analysis engine, so a given decklist produces the same bracket and power score in both places. The website simply displays considerably more detail around that result.
Which deck sites does it support?
Moxfield and Archidekt links, plus plain-text decklists pasted straight into the command. If a link fails to import, pasting the raw list always works as a fallback.
How do I add it to my server?
Use the 'Add the bot to your server' button in the bot section above. You'll need Manage Server permission on the server you're adding it to, which is Discord's requirement for installing any bot.
