Why is Enlightened Tutor a Game Changer?

Enlightened Tutor finds the exact artifact or enchantment a deck needs for one mana at instant speed, putting it on top of the library rather than into hand. The restriction sounds meaningful until you consider what lives in that card pool: most combo pieces, most lock pieces, and most of the engines on this very list. Being able to reach a specific permanent on turn one, or hold the mana up and find an answer later, is the same consistency problem every unconditional tutor creates, just wearing a narrower coat.

What bracket can I play Enlightened Tutor in?

  • Bracket 1 & 2 — not allowed. A single copy of Enlightened Tutor puts your deck above Core.
  • Bracket 3 (Upgraded) — allowed, and it counts as one of your three permitted Game Changers.
  • Bracket 4 & 5 — no limit, so it costs you nothing here.
