"How much does this deck cost?" is a simple question with an annoyingly slow manual answer — pricing 100 cards one at a time across TCGPlayer or Cardmarket tabs. This tool does it in one pass: paste or import your list, pick your region, and get every card priced, sorted most expensive first, with a running deck total.
A Budget Tool That Doesn't Pretend to Know Your Deck
Plenty of tools will confidently suggest "budget swaps" for your expensive cards. Most of that confidence is misplaced — a $40 card might be your only piece of interaction, or completely replaceable filler, and a price API has no way to tell the difference. This tool is honest about that limit: it gives you accurate prices and an interactive way to test cuts against a target, and leaves the judgment call about what each card is actually doing in your deck to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do the prices come from?+
Scryfall's live price data — TCGPlayer market price in USD, or Cardmarket in EUR, whichever you select. Prices update as Scryfall's data updates, so there's no stale cache.
Why do some cards show no price?+
A small number of cards (very new releases, certain promos, or cards Scryfall hasn't linked to a TCGPlayer/Cardmarket listing yet) don't have pricing data available. They're counted separately in the summary rather than silently treated as free.
How does the budget tool work?+
Set a target and it shows you which cards to cut to get there — but as a manual, interactive checklist, not an automated 'smart swap' feature. Click any row to include or exclude it and watch the running total update live. Hitting Apply Suggested Cuts pre-checks the most expensive non-commander cards until you're under budget, as a starting point you can adjust.
Why doesn't this suggest specific budget replacement cards?+
Knowing a card is expensive is easy; knowing what to replace it with requires understanding what role it plays in your deck (removal, ramp, a combo piece, a win condition) — something a price API can't tell you. Rather than guess and risk breaking your deck's game plan, this tool sticks to honest price data and lets you make the swap call.
Does this include foil prices?+
If a card has no non-foil listing (foil-only promos, some Secret Lair cards), the foil price is used automatically. Otherwise it defaults to the non-foil market price, which is what most players are pricing their paper decks against.
