Two things to cover in this one: a big content addition that's live right now, and a preview of what's building up behind the scenes.
All 160 WotC precons are now on EDHcheck
Every Commander precon Wizards has ever released — from the original 2009 Commander product all the way through the latest 2025 sets — is now indexed on the site. That's 160 decks across 45 sets, all browsable and ready to analyze.
Where to find them
There are two places:
The Community tab at /explore now shows precon decks alongside regular community builds. They're marked with a "Precon" badge so they're easy to spot. Scroll down and you'll find them mixed in with everything else.
The Decks page at /decks has a dedicated Precons section further down the page, organized by set with release dates and set taglines. You can also jump straight there from the Decks dropdown in the nav — hit the chevron and choose Precons.
Clicking a precon
Click any precon card and it goes straight to a full analysis — bracket estimate, power score, combo and tutor detection, the whole thing. No paste required. The analysis runs from the actual Moxfield list for that precon, so the card counts and versions are accurate.
If the analysis has already been run before, it loads instantly from cache. If it's the first time that specific deck has been clicked, it fetches and analyzes in the background — usually takes a few seconds.
Five new tools in the works
There's a new Analyze dropdown in the nav (click the chevron next to Analyze). Right now it's just Deck Analysis, but five new tools are coming. Here's a quick look at each:
Mana Base Analysis — a deep read on your land base. Cast rates, color source distribution, tapping analysis, and upgrade suggestions sorted by price and impact. Good for when a deck feels mana-awkward but you're not sure why.
Pack Simulator — open virtual boosters from any Magic set, with correct rarity rates and foil treatments. Live prices shown per card and as a total pull value.
Land Base Database — a comprehensive reference for every dual land type in Commander. Filterable by color, speed, format, and budget. Useful when you know you need a fast land for a two-color pair but can't remember which ones exist.
Price Checker — paste a list or import from Moxfield and get up-to-date market prices for every card. Comes with budget swap suggestions if you want to hit a price target without gutting the deck.
Deck Tester — draw opening hands, mulligan to fewer cards with the London rule, and goldfish turn by turn. Lets you test how consistently a deck opens before you sleeve it up.
Each one has a page under the Analyze menu now — they're coming soon pages for the moment, but the features are locked in and I'm building them out.
