Quite a bit has changed under the hood lately, so here's the rundown of what's new — and a look at where EDHcheck is headed.
Moxfield imports are working again
The big one: pasting a Moxfield link works again.
For a while, Moxfield changed the way deck data could be pulled in from outside their site, and that quietly broke imports here — you'd drop in a link and the analyzer would simply fail. It was frustrating, and we know a lot of you live in Moxfield.
We've found a reliable way to bring those imports back, so you can go back to pasting a Moxfield URL and getting an instant analysis, just like with Archidekt and plain decklists. If you ever hit a deck that won't import, you can still paste the list as text as a fallback — but it should just work now.
A fresh light mode
EDHcheck now has a light theme for those who don't want the dark look. It's a softer, warmer palette — easy on the eyes without being stark white.
Flip between light and dark with the sun/moon toggle in the top bar, and your choice is remembered next time you visit.
A heads-up: light mode is still a work in progress. Most of the site looks great, but a few corners were built dark-first and are still being polished. If you spot something that looks off, let us know (more on how, below).
Coming soon: the EDHcheck Deck Builder
Here's what we're most excited about. EDHcheck is getting its own deck builder.
What it is: a place to build Commander decks right here, card by card — search for cards, add them to your deck, and shape your list without leaving the site.
The best part: every deck you build will plug straight into the analyzer. One click and you'll get its power level, bracket, and combo detection — no exporting, no copy-pasting between sites.
What to expect:
- Card search and a clean building experience
- Save your builds to your account
- Instant analysis of anything you build
- A natural bridge between building a deck and understanding it
When: it's actively in the works, but still a work in progress — no firm date yet. You can peek at the placeholder under the new Decks tab in the top menu, and we'll announce here the moment it's ready.

Partner commanders, done right
Decks with partner, background, or companion commanders are now fully supported. EDHcheck detects the second commander, lists both at the top of the deck, blends their color identities, and even gives partner decks a split commander thumbnail so you can tell them apart at a glance.
