Why is Field of the Dead a Game Changer?
Field of the Dead asks for seven differently-named lands and then produces a 2/2 Zombie every single time a land enters the battlefield afterwards. In a format built on fetch lands, utility lands and landfall effects, that threshold is trivial and the payoff never stops. It builds a lethal board out of land drops alone, requires no cards from hand, and dodges the sorcery-speed removal most decks rely on because it is a land. Inevitability with no ongoing cost is a hallmark of this list.
What bracket can I play Field of the Dead in?
- Bracket 1 & 2 — not allowed. A single copy of Field of the Dead puts your deck above Core.
- Bracket 3 (Upgraded) — allowed, and it counts as one of your three permitted Game Changers.
- Bracket 4 & 5 — no limit, so it costs you nothing here.
