Tradition Meets Technology

Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty updates Magic's original Japanese-inspired plane to a cyberpunk future where neon megacities coexist with ancient spirit traditions. Two Commander precon decks capture this duality: one focused on modification — the cybernetic enhancement of artifacts and creatures — and one focused on Vehicles and the pilots who drive them.

The two decks represent Neon Dynasty's mechanical innovation: artifacts have been reimagined as hybrid magical-technological objects, and the relationship between human society and the kami spirits has evolved from the original Kamigawa's conflict into an uneasy coexistence.

Upgrades Unleashed — Modify and Conquer

Chishiro, the Shattered Blade, channels the Gruul (red/green) spirit of relentless improvement into a modification deck where attaching equipment or auras creates additional 2/2 Samurai Spirit token creatures. The deck continuously upgrades its creatures through Equipment and Aura attachments, with each modification not only improving the equipped creature but also generating a new warrior for your cause.

The deck rewards building a modification-dense package — multiple pieces of equipment that can be passed between creatures to repeatedly trigger Chishiro's token generation. Players who enjoy Equipment-based strategies will find Upgrades Unleashed one of the most rewarding precons for that archetype.

Buckle Up — Pilot Your Fleet

Kotori, Pilot Prodigy, commands an Azorius (white/blue) Vehicle fleet where crewing mechanical beasts with smaller creatures creates attacking power far beyond what either the pilot or vehicle could achieve alone. The deck generates crew-enabling creatures efficiently and finds ways to crew multiple Vehicles per turn for devastating combat pressure.

Buckle Up's Vehicle strategy creates interesting combat decisions — knowing which creatures to crew which Vehicles to maximize attack efficiency while maintaining enough untapped crew for defensive responses requires both planning and adaptability. Kotori's ability reduces crew costs, making even large Vehicles accessible with smaller crew packages.
