Dominaria Stands United
Dominaria United marks Magic's return to the home plane as it faces a new Phyrexian threat, uniting the legendary characters and locations of Magic's history around a common cause. The two Commander precons for Dominaria United reflect this theme — one celebrating the full multicolor spectrum of the multiverse's defenders, and one honoring the legendary heroes of Dominaria's past.
Painbow — Every Color, One Purpose
Jared Carthalion commands a WUBRG (five-color) multicolor-matters deck that rewards playing cards of every color. Painbow generates the Monarch token, draws cards for multicolor spells, and converts Jared's own exiling ability into mana advantage — celebrating the full chromatic spectrum as a source of power and unity.
The deck's five-color identity creates interesting mana base challenges while enabling access to the entire Magic card pool. Building a functional five-color mana base that also supports Painbow's many multicolor spells is the deckbuilding challenge that rewards the most experienced Commander players.
Legends' Legacy — Binding the Great
Dihada, Binder of Wills, holds the legendary heroes of Dominaria's past to her will in a Mardu (white/black/red) legendary-matters deck. The deck tutors for legendary permanents, untaps them for repeated use, and builds the Lore counter engine that Dihada's abilities revolve around.
The legendary-matters strategy in Legends' Legacy rewards building a roster of powerful legendary permanents and finding ways to maximize their activation potential. Dihada's ability to untap legendary permanents can create explosive turns where multiple legends activate repeatedly in sequence, generating overwhelming card advantage.
