The Land Database is live under Tools → Land Base Database. It's a filterable reference of every major Commander-relevant land archetype — no more digging through set lists one printing at a time to remember what a "check land" actually does or which cycle a card belongs to.
What's in it
25 land categories, each in its own section: fetch lands, original dual lands, shock lands, fast lands, pain lands, check lands, filter lands, scry lands (Temples), gain lands, tri-lands (Triomes), battle lands, cycling duals, bounce lands (Karoo), horizon lands (canopy), slow lands, storage lands, creature lands (man-lands), restless lands, Gates, pathway lands (MDFC), basic-land fetches (Panorama-style), snow duals, reveal lands (Verge), surveil lands, and tainted lands. Every section opens with a plain-English description of how that land type actually works — untapped conditions, drawbacks, and all — before the card list.
Filters that actually narrow things down. Mana color, speed (always untapped / conditional / always tapped), format legality (Standard through Pauper), and budget tier all apply across every category at once, plus a name search.
Hover to preview. Same card-hover preview used everywhere else on the site — hover any land name to see the full card, oracle text, and price.
Why it's sourced live, not a static list
Every category pulls directly from Scryfall's search API — either Scryfall's own maintained land-group tags (fetch lands, shock lands, etc. are things Scryfall itself tracks) or a targeted query for cycles Scryfall doesn't tag natively. That means new sets that print more fetches, shocks, or Gates show up automatically. No card list here will ever silently go stale.
It's also built to be polite about it: every request across the whole site — not just this page — now runs through a single shared rate limiter and an hour-long result cache, so browsing all 25 categories, switching filters, or coming back later never hammers Scryfall's API.
Why this exists
A land base decision usually comes down to "what are my options in these two colors, and what's the tradeoff." The Land Database is built to answer that in one place instead of five browser tabs — check the Speed badge to see if a land will actually be online when you need it, filter to your budget, and move straight into deckbuilding.
